Little Green Forest Embroidered Pouch by myceliae Little Green Forest Embroidered Pouch by myceliae
Small cutwork embroidery on dusty green linen, backed with brighter green cotton.
This was free-hand, for want of a better term. I vaguely drew out the trees,  did the cutwork around them, then started embroidering until it felt like I should stop ;)

Cutwork, satin stitch, wrapping, french knots, modified fly stitch (something I made up to fit).
I adore it, but oy did it take a long time.

fantastic  . . . and very inspirational - you've got us thinking up some even stranger ways to use our embroidery machine.

Did you build up the bulk on the trunks with cord first then satin over the top?

wow! this is so beautiful! I bet it did take a long time to complete. It looks very complicated. And it looks like you poured your soul into it. :) Great work. I love it!
