This has been a very long-term project, frought with many blisters and bruised hands from sewing the very thick leather.
For a friend, Jo, (a very Earthy man) who wanted something "natural and.... Vikingy".
This is one big book, and HEAVY. It will be sad to see it go, but I know it will be in the best of hands and well used.

37cm tall (14.5 inches)
23cm wide (9 inches)
3.5 cm thick (1.3 inches)
Exposed spine binding

Deer hide.
104 pages of good thick drawing paper.
Arches watercolour paper (inside of cover).
Hemp cord.
Sinew.
Deer antler tine.

I am not offended at all, but I am not quite ready to be doing that again for a while. It was a very VERY long and painful process. (my fingers need time to heal! *laughs*).
In the near future I will be open for commission, but right now I have too many other things to do, and not the materials.
I am very flattered, though, thankyou.

Hm, all up... about a weeks worth of days, solid work.
And by all means, giveit a go. Not only is it great fun, it is very fulfilling to create something so useful.
